Netflix app not letting me download

Amazon Prime Video now allows users to download content for offline viewing. It's important to note this limit is per account not per device. The only other issue I had while using the app is a sideways look from a Netflix needs to do this ASAP too. Why let me download and then not able to watch without internet?
